Metco nickel aluminum coated filler powders are specially formulated to provide consistent machining and excellent wear for gas turbine honeycomb sealing applications.
We produce honeycomb filler powders using the hydrometallurgical process. The powder produced by this method has consistent chemistry and uniform thickness of the nickel shell surrounding the aluminum core. When filled and sintered into honeycomb cells, a highly resistant nickel aluminide intermetallic compound is formed, against oxidation, thermal stress and deterioration. The resulting hollow nickel aluminum spheres provide erosion for a perfect sealing solution.
