We manufacture honeycomb filler powders using the hydrometallurgy process. The powder produced through this method has consistent chemistry and uniform thickness of the nickel shell encapsulating the aluminum core. When filled into honeycomb cells and sintered, a nickel aluminide intermetallic compound is formed that is very resistant to oxidation, thermal stress, and distortion. The resulting hollow nickel aluminum spheres provide abradability for an excellent sealing solution.
